Industrial Applications of Pumice Powder

Pumice powder has been a useful additive to the industrial sector due to its abrasive qualities. It is used in making concrete, polishing electronic components, and others. Pumice powder is commonly used for polishing media. These pumice-based media are often used to clean and polish circuit boards, television glass, and other critical and sensitive electronic components.

Pumice powder is added in cement in order to make the concrete lighter compared to the common or traditional ones. One of the advantages of having a pumice-based concrete is that it is able to reduce the structural steel costs and job costs .You may want to check out here for more.

This is due to the fact that this kind of concrete is one-third lighter than the conventional sand-and-gravel concrete. Since the concrete would be lighter, it would be easier for the laborers to handle larger volumes of concrete with their light equipment.

Pumice powder can also be a replacement for sand in sensitive high-pressure blasting applications. Due to the softer and gentler abrasive qualities of pumice powder, it would be easier and safer to restore the grime from historic buildings, art, and other infrastructures. With the help of pumice powder, building and cleaning infrastructures have become easier and safer to do.
